Still going strong with my tryst with shading … This time, I tried drawing a bird perched on a branch… and honestly, I kept asking myself the whole time — how does it even sit like that without falling?!
Getting the feathers and shadows right was such a challenge, but also kind of fun once I stopped overthinking it. I’m slowly figuring out how light works, and every sketch feels like a tiny step forward. Not perfect, but proud of the progress!
This is a pencil sketch of a flower I started when I was just messing around with shading for the first time… and somehow it turned into a 10-week project. I got really obsessed with the tiny dots and details — every petal, every shadow had to be just right. It took forever, but I learned so much about patience (and how addicting shading can be). It's not perfect, but I’m super proud of how it turned out
I drew this when I was 9 — it was my first attempt at the Disney castle, and I remember being so proud of it! I was obsessed with all things Disney back then, and I wanted to capture that magical feeling on paper. The lines aren’t perfect, and there is no color, but to me, it felt like I had built my own little fairytale world. Looking back now, it’s a reminder of how much I loved to dream — and still do.
